Plains Anthropological Society Board of Directors - Call for Nominations

Pursuant to Article V of the bylaws of the Plains Anthropological Society (PAS), we encourage and request nominations from the general membership to the Board of Directors. Each board member serves a three-year term and is expected to attend the Plains Anthropological Conference (at that individual’s expense) all three years during which the member serves on the board. At least two members of the PAS who are in good standing must endorse each general membership nomination. Members nominated by the general membership will join the slate of candidates proposed by the Nominating Committee to stand for election. Nominations must be accompanied by a written commitment (in the form of either a letter or an e-mail message) from the candidate to serve if elected and a biographical statement not to exceed a half page in length. The latter should include name, position and affiliation, areas of interest, candidate’s background, and statement of interest. The nomination documents should be submitted by e-mail attachment no later than May 20, 2022 to the Chair of the Nominating Committee.
