Plains Anthropological Society Awards 

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding lifetime achievement in Plains anthropological research, teaching, scholarship, and service to the profession.

The Native American Student Award is a grant of up to $1000, intended to help defray the costs of tuition, books, room and board for qualifying Native American student(s).

The Student Paper Award encourages and recognizes students who present and publish professional quality papers at the annual Plains Conference.

The Student Poster Competition encourages and recognizes students who present professional quality posters at the annual Plains Conference.

The Donna C. Roper Research Fund was established to provide support for avocational archaeologists, students, and senior researchers conducting archaeological research pertaining to the Kansas and Nebraska region.

The Undergraduate Student Travel Award encourages participation of undergraduate students in the Plains Anthropological Society and its annual meeting.
