The Plains Anthropological Society promotes the study of the people and cultures of the North American Great Plains. The Society supports the growth of knowledge concerning the physical, cultural, archaeological, and linguistic variation and evolution of Plains societies.

Individuals with an interest in Plains Anthropology can join the Society. The Society's members include professionals employed in academia, government, and the private sector as well as students and private citizens.

By applying for or renewing membership in the Plains Anthropological Society, one agrees to abide by the Code of Ethics of the Plains Anthropological Society as it exists or may be revised in the future.
