2023 Call for Nominations - President and Board of Directors

Pursuant to Article 5 of the bylaws of the Plains Anthropological Society (PAS), we request nominations from the general membership to the positions of President and the Board of Directors. Following changes to the bylaws in 2022, the President will now be elected from and by the general membership and serve a three-year term (one year as President-Elect and two years as President). Board members also serve a three-year term. Electees are expected to attend the Plains Anthropological Conference, at their own expense, for four years (including their inaugural year).

Newly created nomination forms for President and the Board of Directors provide additional details about the positions. Nominees will be contacted to confirm their commitment to serve if elected. Presidential nominees are asked to complete the nomination form, and Board nominees will be asked to provide a biographical statement/statement of interest (not to exceed a half page in length). Responses will be shared with the membership on the 2023 election ballot.
