Carlton Gover University of Colorado Boulder Carlton Gover is a Citizen of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma pursuing his Ph.D. in Anthropology with a subfield emphasis in archaeology. He received his M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Wyoming and his B.S. in Anthropology from Radford University. His research utilizes Pawnee, Arikara, and Wichita oral traditions, regarding population movement and social change, as foundational evidence for interpreting the late-prehistoric archaeological record. Carlton is also the Board Secretary for the Museum of the Pawnee Nation Board of Directors, a host on the A Life in Ruins Podcast, and a Research Associate for Нова археологічна школа (New Archaeological School) in Ukraine. |

Devin Pettigrew University of Colorado Boulder Devin Pettigrew studies ancient hunting weaponry and tactics through experimental archaeology, reverse engineering, and stone tool analysis. |

Emily Van Alst Indiana University Bloomington Emily Van Alst is of Sihasapa Lakota descent. She graduated from Yale University in 2016 with a double major in archaeology and anthropology. She is currently a PhD student at Indiana University. Her research focuses on indigenous women's participation in the creation and use of rock art in the pre-colonial and colonial periods on the Northwest Plains. She uses the lenses of indigenous archaeology, gender, and community based practices to frame her work within a broader social context. |
